Social media free... Unintentionally.

I've had a mostly social media free weekend. Completely unintentional and more stressful than I ever thought it would be. I do pretty much everything from my cell phone and around 3:00 pm yesterday the screen in my phone went completely black. The sound works great, so I can hear all day long that I'm getting emails, phone calls, and text messages. My main concern is that the hubby is out of town and I worry that he's not able to contact me if something happens. Stress, stress, and more stress.

The Gnarly Whale Products. A review!

After a few days of using the newest arrivals to my beauty arsenal, The Gnarly Whale's Detangler and Beach Waves, I decided to do some product reviews. I'm extremely pleased overall with both products.

My hair is long and the longer it gets, the more I struggle with tangles after washing it. I have been using a children's detangler that I purchased for my son. Until The Gnarly Whale Detangler entered my life, this was the only thing that could do the trick quickly. It's super easy to use; just shake and spray. The directions on the label say to shake before each use and spray liberally over wet hair. Done and done. Then I combed through it and voila! Sleek wet hair.

I normally blow dry my hair straight, but I wanted to do a product review of Beach Waves as well. Beach Waves is also simple to use. Again, just shake and spray. I should have taken a picture right after I combed my hair straight after using the Detangler, but I forgot. Forgive me, as this is my first official product review. Live and learn, right?

After spraying Beach Waves liberally over my wet hair, as the directions on the label suggest, I proceeded to let my hair air dry. Five minutes in and I could already see the product working. Fifteen minutes in and the waves were really starting to take shape. At this point I decided to continue on with the rest of my beauty routine and do some errands around the house. Because my hair is long and there's a lot of it, air drying can be a daunting process.

45 minutes in and with a little help from the sun to speed up the drying process, and I'm starting to see what the end result will be.

An hour and a half later and my hair is mostly dry. With the exception of the section near the nape of my neck and the parts closest to my scalp in the back. I gathered it all into a side ponytail and added a large bow. Now my hair is beach BBQ ready and smells amazing.

The Gnalry Whale offers several scents for both of these products. I chose Birthday Cake because we refer to August as Birthday Month due to the long list of birthdays we celebrate in my family. I thought it was a very festive and appropriate scent for the month.

Other products that I've used in the past to achieve that Beachy Wavey Hair look have done the job just as good as Beach Waves in the wave departmenr, but usually leave my hair on the crunchy side and dull. With Beach Waves my hair is soft and shiny. Definetly a happy customer.
